1、 Overview
The line post insulator is a kind of steel insulator composed of one or more insulating parts permanently glued on the metal base and sometimes one cap. It can be installed on the supporting structure by stud bolts or one or several bolts. It is used for insulation and supporting wires in AC power lines with nominal voltage higher than 1000V, frequency less than 100Hz and altitude less than 1000m in common areas and medium and heavy polluted areas. The ambient temperature at the installation site is between - 40 ℃ and + 40 ℃.
The line (solid) post insulator can replace the pin insulator. The pin insulator belongs to B type insulator, which is prone to breakdown and damage during operation. The toughened glass insulator will self break at this time, while the porcelain insulator will not. As a result, the electric industry department has to spend a lot of manpower and material resources to carry out electrical detection and preventive test on porcelain insulator, which has certain deficiencies in economic and safe power supply. Therefore, with the development of manufacturing technology, the line (solid) post insulator has emerged. This kind of insulator has solid insulator and belongs to type a insulator, so it is not necessary to worry about the breakdown along the insulator during operation, which is one of its major advantages.
According to the rated lightning impulse withstand voltage, the line post type porcelain insulator is divided into eight grades of 95, 105, 125, 150, 170, 200, 250 and 325kv; according to the rated bending damage load, it is divided into four grades of 3, 5, 8 and 12.5kn; according to its installation mode, it is divided into two kinds of vertical installation and horizontal installation; according to its connection mode with high-voltage conductor, it is divided into two kinds of top binding type and top clamp type; according to steel foot The connection with the base is divided into detachable (threaded connection) and non detachable.
